Defending champion Reales de La Vega (LNB) added to their roster 24-year old American 203cm power forward Roderick Smith (college: AUM, agency: Haylett Sports). Smith played most recently at Sumqayit BK in Azerbaijani league. In 18 ABL games he was league's second best scorer with impressive 20.6ppg and had 11.3rpg (#4 in the league), 1.5apg and 1.2spg last season. Great season indeed as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Azerbaijan League Center of the Year and voted to All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week (2 times).
He graduated from Auburn University Montgomery in 2023 and it will be his second season in pro basketball. Smith played for other colleges like: Western Illinois University, Southwest Mississippi Community College.
